May is annual Preservation Month, when the Stoneham Historical Commission sponsors a number of history-themed public events.
FOR 2023, all events are in person. All are free and open to the public.
May 11 - Joint meeting with the Historical Society - Nancy Carlisle from Historic New England will speak on the evolution of the New England Kitchen -- at Stoneham Historical Society & Museum, 36 William St.
May 13 - 2 pm Tour of Lindenwood Cemetery with local Historian Dee Morris. Meet at the Soldiers' Memorial, off Montvale Avenue
May 20 - 1-3 pm. Open Day at the Old Burying Ground (Pleasant St at William). Live and podcast tours are available.
May 21 - noon-3p. Scavenger Hunt and Games on the Common. Fun family event.
