College student Emily Allard received the Historical Commission's annual Heritage Award for "exceptional contributions to preservation and awareness of Stoneham’s historical legacy”. Emily's community leadership project to enhance the accessibility of our 153 year old Lindenwood Cemetery involved researching missing street and path signs, raising funds for and coordinating their installation. Most notably her project team created an informational brochure for the public and a full size map of the grounds near the front entrance of Lindenwood. Emily holds her certificate of appreciation.
