Starting Tuesday, October 9, 2018 for approximately 5 to 6 weeks, weather permitting, the Stoneham Water Department will be conducting a flushing program between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Flushing of hydrants will begin on North Border Road/South Street at Main Street and fan out in a northerly direction throughout town. This program is to ensure a cleaner, safer, and more efficient water distribution system.
This may temporarily create dirty water conditions before the program is complete. Avoid washing clothes during the period of time the flushing is taking place in your section of town.
If a problem occurs during the program, please call 781-438-2583.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we work to improve your water system.
