How can I dispose of motor oil?

Motor oil is prohibited from disposal in regular rubbish. Stoneham residents are allowed to bring their used motor oil (5 gallon limit, identification required) to the Reading Department of Public Works at Newcrossing Road in Reading, Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.  Please note, after April 1, 2020, the Reading DPW will no longer be accepting motor oil from Stoneham Residents.  Please contact Stoneham DPW for further information.
