Stoneham Shuttle

Funded through the Boston MPO Community Connections Program, the Town of Stoneham is thrilled to launch the implementation of a new on-demand shuttle program - Stoneham Shuttle. The Town continues committed to developing safe, reliable connections to existing public transportation so the public may move around more efficiently and purposefully. This pilot program will use all-electric vehicles and is completely free for riders. 

Details of the service is below:

Van

HOURS OF OPERATION:

  • Service began on Monday, November 4, 2024
  • Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. 
  • Service will not be available outside these hours and it is an on-demand service

DESIGNATED SERVICE AREA:

  • As of Tuesday, January 21, 2025, you can use the Stoneham Shuttle to go anywhere in Stoneham AND the Greenwood Commuter Rail Station. Just use the Circuit Stoneham app to select your pick-up and drop-off locations.

HOW TO REQUEST A RIDE:

  • Download the Ride Circuit app. This app is available on Google Play and Apple's App Store on your smart device.
  • After downloading and opening the app, it should automatically open the Stoneham Shuttle Connect location. If not, click on the three lines in the upper left-hand corner of the screen to open the main menu. After the main menu opens, select "Locations" then select "Stoneham Shuttle" from the list. 
  • Next, select your pick-up and drop-off locations. Your ride must begin and end at one of the designated virtual stops. 
  • After selecting your pick-up and drop-off locations, a driver will confirm they are on the way.
