Public Records Law Information

On June 3, 2016, Governor Charlie Baker signed into law, Chapter 121 of the Acts of 2016, "An Act to Improve Public Records". This law took effect on January 1, 2017. The Record Access Officers (RAOs) for the Town of Stoneham are listed at right.  Although not required, it is strongly encouraged that public records requests be in writing to ensure the most efficient and accurate response. All written public records requests, including via email and facsimile, should be addressed/directed to an RAO, and contain the requester’s name and contact information, so that the RAO is able to provide the required response.
