Veterans Assistance Fund

-A A +A

From Jim Devlin VSO Stoneham. At the May 2017 Town Meeting the town generously accepted a proposal to adopt a Veterans assistance fund for emergency situations. Some examples are listed below. If you feel inclined to donate to those who served or their surviving dependents please consider making a donation. Applications will start to be taken in January of 2018. You can mail checks to the Treasurer’s office at 35 Central Street, Stoneham MA. 02180. You can also mail to The Veteran’s Office 136 Elm Street, Stoneham MA. No donation is too small and I am happy to say that the first donation to get the account started was made anonymously for $1000. Please make checks out to The Stoneham Veterans Assistance Fund. Any and all help is appreciated. Please call the Veterans office with any questions at 781 279 2664, or 781 363 9970.

Email jdevlin@stoneham-ma.gov I will answer any questions I can about eligibility and the application process
