Q. What is Whip Hill Park?
A. Whip Hill Park is a 30-acre conservation park owned by theTown of Stoneham and maintained by the Stoneham Conservation Commission as a passive recreation area. There is a magificent English Tudor Mansion on the grounds that serves as a conservation center/meeting hall and home to the park's management staff.
Q. Is the building available for functions?
A. No. The building and staff are not set up to handle functions.
Q. What kind of meetings can be held at the house?
A. Small groups with interests pertaining to nature and the environment can request to use the meeting room between the hours of 9-4 Monday-Friday, by sending a letter to the Stoneham Conservation Commission at Town Hall.
Q. When are the Rhododendrons in bloom?
A. Due to the variety of species and the vagaries of mother nature, it can be anytime betwe en mid May to early June.
