Sign Subordination to New StonehamBank Mortgage at 53 Central Street

Atty. Charles Houghton, President of Stoneham Community Access, explained that there were two mortgages on their building, one to M.E.L.D. and one to the town.  He said they will acquire the property next to them tomorrow and they will borrow from StonehamBank.  He said the bank wants to be first.  He said M.E.L.D. gave them a subordination and they need a subordination from the Town.  He said they hope to make 20 to 25 parking spaces.  Selectman Gregorio moved to approve the subordination, seconded by Selectman DePinto.  Town Counsel Solomon said he reviewed it and it’s fine.  He said if Stoneham Community Access didn’t exist the building would come to the Town of Stoneham.  He said that will also apply to this property.  Atty. Houghton said they will be paying taxes on the lot.  He said this was a house that paid taxes.  Motion was unanimously voted.
