Stoneham Board of Selectmen – Minutes of Meeting of May 3, 2010
Chairman R. Paul Rotondi called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Also present were Selectmen John F. DePinto, Richard S. Gregorio, Robert W. Sweeney, Frank Vallarelli, Town Administrator David Ragucci, and Town Counsel William H. Solomon.
Pledge of Allegiance
Appoint Member to Conservation Commission
Selectman DePinto moved to appoint Norman L'Esperance to the Conservation Commission for a three-year term, seconded by Selectman Vallarelli. Motion was unanimously voted.
Town Meeting Preparation
Selectman Gregorio said his intent was if they generate at least $500,000 in free cash, he is comfortable spending $300,000. He said $200,000 for the schools, $100,000 for the Police, DPW, Library, and Library. Chairman Rotondi said the Board of Health is willing to accept $20,000. Dan Doherty agreed. Selectman DePinto moved that, if $100,000 is available, $20,000 to Board of Health, $20,000 to Veterans, and $60,000 to Library. Motion was seconded by Selectman Vallarelli and unanimously voted.
The Board assigned motions.
Motion was made and seconded to recess and reconvene at Town Meeting. Motion was unanimously voted.
Meeting recessed at 6:57 p.m.
Meeting reconvened at 7:04 p.m. at Town Meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 11:24 p.m.
