Stoneham Board of Selectmen – Minutes of Meeting of September 25, 2007
Vice Chairman John F. DePinto called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. Also present were Selectmen R. Paul Rotondi, Robert W. Sweeney, Frank A. Vallarelli, Town Administrator David Ragucci, and Town Counsel William H. Solomon. Chairman George E. Seibold was unable to be present.
Pledge of Allegiance
Presentation of Chair to Anthony Kennedy
The Board presented a chair to former Selectman, Anthony Kennedy, in honor of his three terms as Selectmen.
Approve Minutes
Selectman Sweeney moved to accept the 9/11/07 executive session minutes and not to release, seconded by Selectman Vallarelli. Voting was 3-0, with Selectman Rotondi abstaining. Motion carried.
Accept Warrant Articles and Sign Warrant
Selectman Sweeney moved to accept the warrant articles submitted, seconded by Selectman Vallarelli. A roll call vote was taken.

Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
Approve New Common Victualler License/D & D Food, Inc d/b/a Metro Pizza of Stoneham/414 Main St
Selectman Rotondi moved approval of a New Common Victualler License for D & D Food, Inc. d/b/a Metro Pizza of Stoneham, seconded by Selectman Sweeney. Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
Appoint Election Officer
Selectman Rotondi moved to appoint John Blanchard from the Democratic Town Committee as Deputy Inspector for a one-year term beginning September 1, 2007. Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
Accept Donations
Selectman Sweeney moved to accept the donations for the Recreation Department from Dominic Colucci and Salvatore LoGrasso of Men’s Soccer and the Telephone Workers Credit Union and to write a thank you. Motion was seconded by Selectman Vallarelli and unanimously voted (4-0).

Liquor Licensing Authority
Selectman Sweeney moved to go into Liquor Licensing Authority and return to Board of Selectmen, seconded by Selectman Rotondi. Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
Meeting recessed at 7:23 p.m.
Meeting reconvened at 7:25 p.m.
Miscellaneous Correspondence
Selectman Rotondi asked Town Counsel if he were going to respond to the letter from the attorney for FMC about an alleged libelous statement made by a citizen. Town Counsel Solomon said he spoke with the attorney today and she understands facts that this was a Town meeting and a statement by a private citizen.
Town Administrator Reports
Town Administrator Ragucci said Kevin McLaughlin volunteered to paint the Town Hall. He said he certainly appreciates it. Selectman Rotondi moved to send Kevin a Certificate of Appreciation, seconded by Selectman Sweeney. Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
Selectman Vallarelli said 10/2 at 4:00 is the 93/95 Interchange Hearing in Stoneham.
Selectman Rotondi said some citizens have expressed concern that it is too arduous for a person to make a comment about different things. He asked if there were a way to put forms on the website. Mr. Ragucci said he has advertised for an IT person. He said he will bring it to the attention of the webmaster who is also the Treasurer.
Selectman Sweeney moved to adjourn, seconded by Selectman DePinto. Motion was unanimously voted (4-0).
