Stoneham Board of Selectmen – Minutes of Meeting of August 16, 2007
Chairman George E. Seibold called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Also present were Selectmen John F. DePinto, R. Paul Rotondi, Robert W. Sweeney, Frank A. Vallarelli, Town Administrator David Ragucci, and Town Counsel William H. Solomon.
Pledge of Allegiance
Joint Meeting/School Committee/Appoint School Committee Member
The Board of Selectmen and School Committee met jointly. Carol Feke and Shelly MacNeill spoke. Nicholas Stavre was on vacation. Selectman Vallarelli nominated Shelly MacNeill, seconded by Selectman Sweeney. Selectman Sweeney nominated Carol Feke, seconded by Selectman Vallarelli. Selectman Sweeney nominated Nick Stavre, seconded by Selectman DePinto. A roll call vote was taken.

Shelly MacNeill – 7 votes; Nicholas Stavre – 2 votes; Carol Feke – 0 votes. Shelly MacNeill was appointed to the School Committee to fill the unexpired term until the next election.
Preparation for Town Meeting
Town Administrator Ragucci gave his recommendations for the budget. Selectman Rotondi moved to accept the Town Administrator recommendations, seconded by Selectman DePinto. A roll call vote was taken.

Motion was unanimously voted (5-0).
Article Recommendations
Article 1 - Selectman Sweeney moved Indefinite Postponement. Motion was seconded and unanimously voted.
Article 2 - Selectman DePinto moved Indefinite Postponement, seconded by Selectman Rotondi. Motion was unanimously voted.

Article 3 - Selectman DePinto moved approval of Exhibit A, seconded by Selectman Sweeney. Motion was unanimously voted.
Town Administrator Reports
Town Administrator Ragucci said he is interviewing five candidates for Police Chief. He said he will hopefully have a selection by 8/28.
Miscellaneous Correspondence
Selectman DePinto thanked the Master Plan team for working on the parking study.
Executive Session
Selectman DePinto moved to go into executive session, pursuant to Chapter 39, section 23B, for the Stockwell Fund and litigation, seconded by Selectman Rotondi. A roll call vote was taken.

Meeting recessed to go into executive session at 6:22 p.m.
