Selectman Rotondi said he feels they should let the Town Administrator do all that and his recommendations will have to be their guide. Selectman Rotondi told Town Administrator Ragucci he would like a base line established for the budget. Mr. Ragucci said he has been in contact with the Finance Board, who has developed a model that would create that baseline.

Thomas Mayo and Diane Mayo d/b/a Dairy Dome/472 Main St/Site Plan Hearing
Selectman Kennedy read the Notice of Hearing. Atty. Charles Houghton was present to represent Thomas Mayo and Diane Mayo d/b/a Dairy Dome in their petition to construct an eight (8) foot by twenty-four (24) foot addition on the northerly side of the existing building and to revise the existing parking layout to increase the number of on-site parking spaces from 10 to 12 on the property located at 472 Main Street, Stoneham, MA on land owned by Frank Newton, 23 Bear Hill Road, Stoneham, MA 02180 and leased by Thomas Mayo and Diane Mayo d/b/a Dairy Dome, 27 Bear Hill Road, Stoneham, MA 02180.
Atty. Houghton said they needed variances for parking and sidewalks. Selectman Seibold read the DPW recommendation. Chairman Sweeney read the Police Department, Board of Health, Fire Department, and Inspectional Services recommendations. Chairman Sweeney noted that on the plan there is a curb cut going out to Middle Street and it is not noted in the Board of Appeals letter. Atty. Houghton said that would have to be approved by site plan. Selectman Seibold said they closed Middle Street in the early 80’s and opened Main Street and that now they want to open Middle Street. He said that to him it is a little more dangerous. Chairman Sweeney said that his concern is that on the Project Review Report it usually would say “curb cut on Middle Street” and the attorney
would agree to it. He said he doesn’t see the curb cut suggested by any department. Atty. Houghton said the Board of Appeals approved the plan as is. He said the idea came from the departments.
