Mystic Valley Elder Services
Mystic Valley Elder Services is a 32-year-old, non-profit agency. They are an entry point through which elders, families, caretakers, and health care professionals can access a wide variety of programs, services, and supports, and are one of the largest in a network of 27 similar agencies across the state. With a budget of $20 million and a staff of 150, Mystic Valley Elder Services assists over 10,000 individuals each year. The main focus of the agency is to promote safe, independent living for the elders in the eight communities served.

Community Service Network
Sheila Herbeck's grass-roots, non-profit agency helps low and moderate income clients access the knowledge, skills and services that promote independence and self sufficiency. Among the services offered to Stoneham residents and nine other communities are homelessness prevention, landlord/tenant mediation, housing search and a first time home buyer program (781-438-5981). MassMedLine
MassMedLine is a pharmacy outreach program offering free, confidential services to all Massachusetts residents . By calling a toll-free help line, you can receive general information about your medications and their side effects, in addition to obtaining personal assistance with affordable prescription drug programs. Call toll free 1-866-633-1617. Trained case managers and licensed pharmacists are on duty Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Translation services are available.
Fuel Assistance
The Tri-CAP Fuel Assistance program serves residents of Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, Winchester and Woburn. The Fuel Assistance program helps low-income homeowners and renters pay a portion of the cost of heating their homes (oil, gas, electric, rent if heat is included in rent).Eligibility is based on current gross income and household size.
