Mission Statement
The Council on Aging has as its mission to provide outstanding services to seniors by welcoming all to the Senior Center, treating people with kindness, respect and dignity, offering supportive services for social, nutritional and medical needs and providing outreach to all seniors in the community.
The Board of Directors meet every month except December, July and August on the third Tueday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Senior Center. This is an open meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Dear Friends,
Our Senior Center is a vibrant and dynamic place. You and our COA Board members helped make this happen. We’ve saved a seat at the table for you! Do you like special projects, can you donate 2-3 hours a month? Would you like to be an ‘ambassador’ and spread the good news about our Senior Center? Consider becoming an enthusiastic COA Board member to make our Senior Center the very best home away from home it can be. Chairman Gene Ferullo has completed a board manual to orient new members and he would be pleased to share a copy with you and/or invite you as a guest to the next meeting. Please come see me and we can talk about your interests. There are so many ways to challenge yourself. The Board meets monthly except July, August and December on the third Tuesday afternoon. Appointments are made by the Board of
Selectmen for up to a three year term. If you are a Stoneham resident and registered voter please consider becoming a Board member and help our Senior Center continue to thrive.
