LEGAL HELP FOR SENIORS
Elder Law Attorney Karol Bisbee provides legal assistance to seniors every month. Ms. Bisbee is here on the first Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.and appointments will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call the Senior Center at 781-438-1157. Greater Boston Legal Services provides free legal services to elder (60+) residents of Stoneham in matters including tenant's rights, Social Security, SSI, Food Stamps, MassHealth, Medicare, guardianship defense and debotors' rights. SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Elders)
The SHINE program is administered by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs and provides certified counselors who can offer free, confidential counseling on a wide range of health insurance issues for Medicare beneficiaries and senior citizens.
Appointments are available at the Senior Center on Mondays fro 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Wednesdays between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
