The Town of Stoneham is entering into a Revaluation Year for Fiscal Year 2009. A Revaluation Year, which occurs every 3rd year, is one which requires strict oversight from the Department of Revenue on the establishment of certified assessed values for the community. One of the important stipulations of the Department of Revenue is that all real and personal property must be physically inspected within 9 years. The Assessors Department's last complete recollection efforts were approximately 9 years ago and a reinspection is required.
Beginning in early 2008, there will be a town-wide recollection of all real and personal property within the community. Please note that further notification will be made to the public prior to the start of this recollection effort.
