2020 Town Census/Street Listing

The Town of Stoneham 2020 Annual Census/Street Listing form was sent out to all households. If all information for your household is accurate, please sign and return it to the Town Clerk’s Office.  If any changes need to be made please do so before signing and returning. If you did not receive a street listing in the mail, please fill in this blank form, sign and return.  If you need to register to vote please visit

There are a few things to keep in mind:

  • We want the signed census/street list sent back even if there are no changes.
  • If you do not return the census/street list we will make every voter in the household inactive.
  • If you need us to verify residency in Stoneham for any particular year, we need census records in order to do so.
  • If your child moves and they are a registered voter we cannot remove them from your household until they sign the form themselves, notify us in writing or register in their new community.
  • If you have babies or young children living in your house they need to be counted as a member of the household (minor child information is never made public).
  • Massachusetts General Law requires an annual street listing/census be done by every city and town.  This is separate from the Federal Census that is done every ten years.
  • In March 2020 you will be receiving information for completing the Federal Census.  It is important to complete that census online, by telephone or by mail so that they get an accurate count.  All of the information provided to the US Census Bureau is protected by Federal Law and kept strictly confidential.  They do not share your personal information with anyone.
  • When you do not respond to either our census or the federal census we both spend more money in the hopes that you will respond. Completing both census promptly avoids that extra cost by both the Town of Stoneham and the US Census Bureau.
